April Favourites!

As Ive said before I’m a big sad old fan of YouTube beauty videos and love when they put up their monthly favourites. So I’ve decided at the end of every month, I will do a blog on what my monthly favourites have been, and the boys wanted to get involved too so they have their own list they want to include.

Mummy’s April Favourites

Rimmel_Wake_Me_Up_Foundation_30ml_1366389079

Rimmel’s Wake Me Up foundation has been my go to foundation this month. I find it really light wearing and it makes the skin look luminous. Also a fantastic high street alternative to the high-end foundations. I have this in Ivory and Soft Beige – because some days i wake up looking like Casper the friendly ghost. Currently £8.99 in Boots.

Clearly, Rimmel must be on a roll just now because I’m also a massive fan of their Apocalips Lip Lacquers. These are amazing! The pigmentation is great and they feel really moisturising on the lips. I have this in Celestial which is a peachy, pinky nude colour, Stellar which is an pinky red and Big Bang which is a bright red. The one thing i did notice is that with Big Bang, it has a tendency to smudge and run so a lip pencil would probably have to be used. Other than that…LOVE these. Currently £4.99 in Boots.

imagesCA77KMJNL’Oreal Colour Riche nail varnish in the colour Pearle de Jade. I love this range of nail varnishes! (You can find my review here) The formulation is amazing and it is really hard wearing with a gorgeous glossy finish. The colour is really vibrant and perfect for Summer. Currently in Boots for £4.99 and is part of their current 3 for 2 deal.

nd_16787Daisy Sunshine edition by Marc Jacobs has been a staple in my handbag since my birthday. It’s a gorgeous, light, floral scent and is just gorgeous. Currently £45 in Debenhams.

1307729211_The_Groovy_Food_Company_Organic_Virgin_Coconut_Oil_w450_h400Groovy Food Organic Virgin Coconut Oil is my new miracle product. I’ve been using it as a moisturiser, a hair conditioner and have been taking one teaspoon of it each morning. It has been proven to aid digestion and increase your metabolism, maintain cholesterol levels, and to aid bone strength and for dental care. More information can be found here. I’ve already noticed my teeth are whiter and I have been feeling alot less bloated. I’m going to keep taking it and see how it goes! I got mine from Tesco for £6.99

i love blogging

I’ve got to admit that I was absolutely terrified when I decided to put this blog “out there” for people to see. I have had nothing but great feedback and I’ve met some amazing people through different blogging communities. I’ve started receiving event invites and am slightly overwhelmed by it all but cannot wait to see what may come from it. All i know is I love writing so keep your fingers, toes and every other crossable part of your body crossed please! :)

Friends. Over the past few months I’ve realised how bloody lucky I am with the friends that I’ve got. They’re an amazing mental bunch but I honestly couldn’t ask for a better group of girls around me. Yay for friends!

Boys April Favourites

lego

Lego. The boys’ favourite toy ever! They love anything that can be built up and then knocked down. Typical boys. Me? I have to admit i spend quite a bit of my time “accidentally” hoovering up the wee tiny pieces they leave lying all over the floor. Whoops ;)

Easy-Ham-Cheese-Wrap-3015

Cheese and ham wraps. This is currently what my son Aiden is living off of. Logan absolutely hates cheese in any form (I can’t even get him to eat pizza because of the cheese!) but Aiden more than makes up for it. I’m just happy he’s over his pieces and jam phase.

collagennn

The boys have started reading this set of books by Caryn Hart and Ed Eaves. They absolutely love them and its main character Albie. The illustrations are fantastic and the story is always funny and keeps the boys attention. The books even keep me and Daddy amused. Looking forward to getting the rest of the books in the series.

113

Pollok Park…or the Superhero park as the boys call it. They absolutely love it here. Plenty of space to run around, Clydesdale horses, Highland Cattle, a great play park and the Burrell Collection for some lunch. A fantastic day out!

So, what have been some of your favourite things in April?
